For anyone responsible for a charities budget you will know how important every penny is. And if part of your job is to make sure your Charity gets value of money on your Charity Insurance, then these tips from the UK Social Welfare Insurance Broker could be just what you need.

It is important to remember that charities, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations could possibly pay less for their charity insurance and liability insurance premiums without having to sacrifice on cover. From registered charities employing hundreds of staff to small charities, community groups and voluntary groups on a much smaller scale, savings could well be made by following these simple but highly effective tips.

And regardless of whether your charity is big or small and regardless of your budgets, if you follow these secrets to cheaper charity insurance there is every chance the amount you pay for your Charity Insurance could be reduced without having to sacrifice on cover, excesses or levels of service and support.

Secret number one when looking for Charity Insurance is to make sure you use an insurance provider who actually understands your needs. Buying a one size fits all insurance policy might well seem at first hand like the best solution but will having an insurance policy that is not designed for the voluntary sector actually give you the cover you need? What charities of all sizes and types need is the protection and peace of mind of knowing your policy gives you cover that protects you, your charity, your volunteers and your donors. Failure to get such a policy could very well mean that in the event of a loss occurring you may not be covered. Therefore make sure you use an insurance company or insurance broker who understands what you need and who understand charity insurance and insurance for the voluntary sector. They should be able to offer you advice and guidance aimed at reducing your exposure to risk which in turn could lead to a reduction in your charity insurance premiums.

And if using a specialist Charity Insurance broker or expert is most likely to result in your charity getting the right insurance cover for less, how can you find a Charity Insurance expert?

Internet search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN have certainly made the job of sourcing charity insurance specialists much easier and a simple search of one of the numerous search engines is likely to product information on a whole host of experts for a wide variety of insurance products and type. You should however be careful to check that the company who is claiming to be specialists in charity insurance really are. The quickest and easiest way to do this is to simply pick up the phone, give them a call and start asking them questions. Asking questions rather than just waiting for them to ask you is a great way to find out what makes them experts and how you can benefit from using them. Questions you might consider asking them include what insurance companies they use, how long have they been trading and providing charity insurance and what experience do they have in providing insurance for the charity and voluntary sector. By doing this and asking questions your chances of finding the right charity insurance broker or provider for your charity is likely to increase at the same time as your charity insurance premiums fall.

Another secret which could help you pay less for your charities insurance is one which very companies, let alone charities, use when shopping around for insurance. Secret number two when it comes to sourcing charity insurance is to therefore be totally honest when you are asked what you are currently paying for your charities insurance. Most people, businesses and charities when asked how much they are paying by an insurance company or insurance broker will not tell them. They believe that by doing so they are somehow unlikely to get the best quote in return. The truth is if you want to get the best quote from a charity insurance provider, your chances of success will increase if they have a premium to work against. This does not mean that you should make up a price but simply when asked the question of what are you currently or what is your best premium, tell them the truth and see what happens.

By following these two simple but highly effective secrets, there is a good chance the price you pay for your charity insurance will reduce. Give it a go and see if it works and make the next year the year your charity saves money on your charity insurance premiums

A car insurance policy from Tesco car insurance will save you from the perils of car driving. Driving a car on public roads is always risky and you have to be sufficiently equipped to face unfortunate consequences if any arise. Of course, an auto insurance company will help you in case you have taken an insurance policy with them. However, the amount of help that you can expect from the insurer depends upon the insurance coverage that you choose. Thus, it is very important for you to know about the types of coverage available before choosing an insurance policy.

Liability Insurance Coverage Provided By Tesco Car Insurance

Liability coverage is the minimum coverage provided by all auto insurance companies. Under this coverage, the insurer offers to cover the damages caused to a third party due to the fault of the policyholder or any other operator of the insured vehicle, provided the other operator should not reside at the same address of the policy holder nor he should be excluded specifically from the policy. However, liability coverage is not available to the policyholder if he is driving somebody else’s vehicle. The reason behind this is that when you drive a vehicle belonging to another person, you are covered under that person’s policy and hence you cannot claim the damages from your insurer.

How To Get The Best Quote From Tesco Car Insurance

With a soar in the prices of car insurance, people are hunting for cheap insurance quotes. The following are some of the ways to get a cheap car insurance quote:
1. All the insurance quotes have a direct influence on the deductible amount. Hence, increase your deductible amount to get a cheap quote.
2. Check your driving profile. Maintain a good profile to get a reasonable quote.
3. Check your car model. If you have a stylish or sports model car, which is more accident-prone, then you cannot expect a cheap quote.
4. You have to close your old car insurance policy to get a good quote from the new one.
5. Maintain your car- make it safe and less risky by installing safety and anti theft devices in your car. Risk factor also determines an insurance quote.
6. Sometimes an insurer may lure you by providing numerous policy discounts. However, check with the other insurance companies for cheaper quotes.
7. You can browse the net for cheap quotes and discounts. It is the best way to find one.

Getting a cheap quote may be your aim but be careful not to fall prey to fraudulent car insurance companies. They may tempt you with many attractive offers but often fail in proper settlement of the claims. Hence, a good insurance policy with maximum insurance coverage from Tesco car insurance can give you a safe driving experience.

The Best Car Insurance Deals For Women

December 7, 2009 by admin

If you are a woman in search of car insurance, you may very well find it at a cheaper rate than if you were a man. At first you may think that this is gender discrimination, but if you think about how car insurance companies measure risk and work out monthly rates, you will see that it is not a level playing field. On average, females make fewer claims so coverage is less, but there are a few things that you can do to ensure you get affordable cover with good benefits.

By nature, women tend to be more careful than men, especially on the roads, so use this to your advantage. Ensure that you maintain impeccable driving practices, by always following the laws of the road, adhering to stop signs and traffic lights, and never exceeding the speed limit. Maintaining a driving record free of any offence is something that could help lower your monthly rates.

Car insurance companies tend to give more cover than drivers actually need, so it would be a good idea to work out just how much cover is suitable for you. You can divide your cover into two halves. The first half should include comprehensive and collision coverage, so basically it covers damage or loss pertaining to your car. The second half is for liability, and this depends on how often you get citations, and how often you drive your car. Women spend less time with unnecessary driving because they are very constructive drivers. Because of this there is less chance for them being in an accident.

When buying a car, it may be a good idea to opt for a used vehicle. The reason for this is that it is often cheaper to get used cars insured than it is to get new cars insured. New cars are kitted out with more modern parts, and this carries a higher repair or replacement cost. If you still want the feel of having a new car without the excessive premiums, you should try to find a car that is one to two years old. This will save you the steep car insurance payments.

By following a few simple steps you can save yourself a lot of money. Being a woman has its perks when it comes to car insurance, so focus your attention on finding a car insurance company that offers more affordable rates for women.

Women Manage to Get Cheaper Car Insurance

November 26, 2009 by admin

Gone are the days when women shouted for an equitable position in society. Now it’s time for men to do the same. Surprising, but true! This is exactly what has happened in UK since insurance companies have announced that car insurance premiums will be more inexpensive for women than for men. And not without reasons!

According to insurance companies in UK, women ought to be given benefits of lower premiums because they are far more careful while driving thereby resulting in fewer numbers of accidents. The gravity of the number of accidents has been further minimized after it has come to light that many of these accidents have been committed by minors. Thus, it is imperative that a number of accidents are less and so are the number of claims and obviously the amount as well. Surveys also suggest that women drive less than their male counterparts and therefore, the possibility of occurrence of accidents is further minimized. It is also widely accepted that the number of women drinking and driving is far less than the number of males doing the same. Thus, car insurance companies felt an urge to come up with this unique idea to introduce special (read reduced) car insurance policies exclusively for women.

The offer has been already widely accepted and has shot to prominence. Of late almost all car insurance companies have introduced their respective versions of special car insurance policies exclusively for women. It ranges from normal Third Party Only (one that covers the car’s damage to third party), to Third Party Theft and Fire (this one covers the car’s damage to third party along with damage to the car due to theft and fire). It also comes as a Comprehensive Car policy wherein the policy covers the damage to the car due to any reason like theft, fire, collision etc.

These policies come with a bundle of special benefits along with reduced premium. The Courtesy Car is one such benefit offered to female clients that help them get their car damage repaired on condition that it would be fixed by a servicing station enlisted by the insurance company. In some cases, 24 hour emergency option is also provided just in case the client meets with an accident and needs help. Other such benefits include flexible payment schemes, car stereo coverage and handbag coverage.

It is evident from the measures taken by insurance companies that they are more than ready to walk an extra mile to gain customers and also curve a niche market in today’s world of intense competition.

Auto Insurance Towing Laws

November 25, 2009 by admin

There are many good reasons to carry auto insurance. With newer cars you want to protect your investment in case of an accident or a disaster that damages the car. And if your vehicle is financed, the originator of your car loan may require a certain level of insurance until the car is paid off.

Another reason to carry at least a minimum of auto insurance is all states require every car on the road to be covered by bodily injury and property damage insurance. These requirements help ensure all drivers can pay for damages or injury caused by the vehicle they are driving. Each state does have it’s own specific requirements for minimum auto insurance, so do be certain you understand the requirements in your state.

Minimum auto insurance laws have always come with a fine or other penalty. Say you get pulled over for speeding, the police officer who pulled you over will ask for proof of insurance, among other things, during the traffic stop. If you can’t produce proof of insurance in the form of your insurance card you will likely get a citation for lack of insurance on top of any other moving violations you get charged with during the stop. This minimum level of auto insurance now comes with even more incentive to make sure your car is insured in many cities and towns across the United States.

A growing number of municipalities have added another layer to this process. If you can’t prove you are carrying auto insurance on the car you are driving, not only do you get a ticket for lack of insurance but your car is towed to the local pound as well. This requires you to not only pay the towing and impounding fees, but also produce proof of insurance to even get your car back. The idea behind the new law is to get uninsured cars off the roads and to provide additional municipal income.

The number of cities imposing no-insurance tow laws increases every day. Even if your city or town doesn’t have this regulation on the books, if you were to be pulled over in a jurisdiction that does without auto insurance, or even proof of insurance, your car could be towed until you can prove you have insurance on the car. This can cost you greatly in time and money.

It’s also worth keeping in mind cities with these policies can even target your uninsured vehicle by running the car’s license plate to see if the auto has insurance coverage or not.

The lesson? Make sure you have at least the minimum level of auto insurance on any car you drive.

How to sell or donate a car in CA with expired insurance, no pink slip?

November 14, 2009 by admin

A friend of mine wanted to donate her car, but she couldn’t find the pink slip.

She tried the DMV, but they require proof of insurance in order to issue a replacement pink slip. She doesn’t want to pay the couple of hundred to re-insure the car.

She’d like to find a donation organization that takes cars w/o a pink slip OR a junk yard that will come take the car (getting $ for it would be a bonus). Does anyone know where to look?

I’m sure this sounds shady, but it’s a 93 Toyota Camry she used to drive in high school, and it hasn’t been driven in two years, so we’d just like to minimize the expense of selling it/giving it away.
She applied for a duplicate title, but the DMV claimed she couldn’t get the title without proof of insurance, which is a waste for a car she’s never intending on driving again.

What You Need to Consider When Buying Car Insurance

November 10, 2009 by admin

How do you go about buying car insurance? When you buy car insurance there are a number of things you should consider. First, consider the number of the persons who drive in your household. Your husband or wife and some of your children may be driving their own cars. Consider how old these drivers are and how often they drive. Teens are usually charged with higher rates but discounts are in store for them. Also, including your children’s car insurance in your own car insurance policy can reduce the cost of what you have to pay.

Second, think of how much you can shoulder. This cost is called the deductible. In an accident, your insurance company will pay for a part of the cost and you will pay for the rest. Deductible ranges from $250 to $1000. You may reduce the cost of your premiums by choosing higher deductibles but do not forget to consider how much you can pay out of your pocket when you get involved in an accident.

Third, think about the assets you have to protect. Your car may be very expensive and making sure that you receive help when it needs repairs or replacement is a must. But if you still are on the process of buying a car, know that insurance companies charge higher rates for expensive cars. This is because they would be paying a lot if your car gets stolen, vandalized or if you get into an accident. Fourth, if you have health insurance, you may forego the medical coverage in your car insurance. But consider what your health insurance covers before you decide not to get medical coverage. Consider the out-of-pay maximums, deductibles, and co-pays.

Fifth, consider the estimated value of your car. Compare the value of your car to the cost of insuring it in a yearly basis before you decide whether or not to purchase collision or comprehensive coverage. This is especially so if you paid your car fully because the sixth thing to consider is whether or not your car is fully paid for. If your car is on loan, your lender will require you to include comprehensive and collision coverage. These things are your ABC’s when it comes to buying car insurance. Sometimes, people complain so much about the cost of car insurance because they fail to consider a lot of things before they buy their car insurance policies. You can in fact, reduce the cost of your car insurance if you only compare and if you get enough knowledge about what you are actually buying.

Car Insurance Calculator

Online car insurance calculator is devised by insurance companies to help people calculate the amount they may have to pay on a regular basis when they buy an insurance policy. The car insurance calculator service is offered by several insurance websites such as carinsurance.com.

You can use a car insurance calculator to:

  • Search for a most cost-effective auto insurance policy
  • Find out the change in your premium amount when you shift to a higher-end car
  • Work out the best way to tailor your car insurance to match your income

Working of a Car Insurance Calculator

A car insurance calculator (ref: http://www.economywatch.com/insurance/auto/car-insurance-calculator.html ) uses personal information to calculate a rough estimate of what an insurance policy might cost to an individual. A calculator needs the following details to calculate the premium:

Place of residence: An individual living in a metro city is more prone to road accidents. Thus, s/he will be charged a higher premium than those who are living in a small town.

Age and Gender: Insurance companies believe that a person becomes more cautious in his driving as he ages. Thus, people aged above a certain limit may be offered discounts. Similarly, companies offer discounts to women drivers as they are perceived to be more cautious drivers than their male counterparts.

Driving record of an insurance seeker: An insurance company also determines the risk factor of an individual from his past driving history. Insurance companies charges higher premiums from individuals with a previous record of accidents and breaking traffic rules. In extreme cases, the companies can also refuse to accept the application of the insurance seeker.

Make and model of the car: These details help insurance companies determine the current market value of the car to be insured. The lower the market value of a car, the lower will be the premium charged.

A car insurance calculator may also prompt you to input miscellaneous information such as the frequency of the drive to calculate the premium.
